History of Laser Hair Re-Growth
Laser Hair Care was developed as a result of successful hair regrowth treatment with Low Level Laser Therapy in Stockholm during the late 1970's and early 80's. A device transferring the light from a laser via a fibre cable to a hand held probe were used by the therapist to treat the scalp. The therapist had to spend 15-30 minutes with the client on each treatment which was time consuming for the therapist and expensive for the client. As a result of this early work a laser cap with one laser transferring the light via several fibres to optimise the therapist's work was developed.
Laser treatment, as a method is phototherapy, not hocus-pocus. It may be compared to spending time in a solarium trying to achieve a nice healthy tan. A certain wavelength and dose are given during the time spent in the solarium. The same applies for laser light and treatment; a certain dose (energy) has to be given to achieve an effect. If one does not get enough energy, or the specific wavelength, nothing will happen. The accurate dose is assured with Ultra Hair.
Treatment Program
The most frequent treatments with Laser Hair Care are for the retention of hair loss and regrowth of hair on bald areas. Other treatments include various scalp conditions, before and after transplantation treatment, dandruff and the improvement of thinning and brittle hair in both men and women.
Hair loss, thinning hair and baldness
Clients are expected to experience a reduction or stopping of excessive hair loss during the treatment program. A tight scalp softens, reducing dandruff and other scalp associated problems with an initial growth of vellus hairs. The vellus hairs might harden and get thicker with time, which for some clients are very valuable. These fine, soft hairs are usually non-coloured and do not grow to real (terminal) hairs without continued treatment.
The hair growth is initially seen in previously thinning areas as well as with a thickening at the edges of already established hair loss areas. The vellus hairs are normally lost after a period and may be replaced gradually with terminal hairs.
These transitional hairs grow from well-developed follicles to be the same length and colour as surrounding already terminal hairs. Some clients may experience that the regrowth grows shorter compared to other, already developed hairs.
Alopecia Areata
Alopecia Areata is a hair loss condition with bald spots on the scalp that among some individuals can grow to become a total loss of hair, Alopecia Totalis. The bald areas may develop to be as big as the palm of the hand. Once the hairs are lost the laser treatment works to expedite the growth of natural hair. One should bare in mind that this condition normally heals naturally with time. Treatments time and results will vary depending on the history and individual cause of the Alopecia. Re-growth
Beneficial results are growth of vellus hairs, as described before, that are seen in previously bald areas with a thickening of already established hair areas. These hairs are not transformed into terminal hairs but can grow to be thicker and stronger. This is sometimes acceptable to the client who is satisfied with these thicker hair strands. Pigmented, terminal hairs are developed from a more developed hair bulb as a result from laser treatment and are first seen in the edges of bald spots.
We recommend that a lotion and shampoo procedure is followed during and between treatments, these issues will be discussed with your consultant during treatment.

Is the treatment painful?
No not at all, however, the client may experience a mild tingling sensation,which is uncommon, and will subside shortly after the 1st treatment.
Does the treatment cause any side effects?
Other than hair re-growth, laser treatment, it is non invasive, however some lotions may require a medical certificate and/or approval from a Medical Doctor. This will be discussed with consultant.

What's included in the total price?
You will receive our Laser treatment for the duration that suits your hairloss problem, this includes haircuts over that time. Initially you will be given a starter pack containing our Incendia shampoo, Incendia Scalp Stimulator Refresher and Incendia Conditioner and other hair re-growth products to start you on your way. The only other cost of your treatment will be replacement of these products after they run out.
